Supporter members do not necessarily meet all of our criteria so may not be eligible for full membership. Supporter members do need to meet at least one of our criteria – we also ask that they actively support and follow our ethos and encourage their employees/students to do the same.

Our supporter members pledge to:

• Actively procure from a minimum of 5 local independent companies.
• Ensure the communication of procurement opportunities to local independent businesses as a priority.
• Regularly review procurement policies that seek to support local independent businesses and the local  economy.
• Communicate the benefits of using local businesses to their staff and train them in passing on that message.
• Recognise their role in contributing to a sustainable local economy and retaining money within the local economy for the benefit of the local businesses, environment and community as a whole.
• Actively promote the strong economic, environmental and social benefits of buying from local independent businesses and supporting a sustainable local economy.
